Litchfield, Crocodile Cruise & Sunset with wallaroo tours

6:50am – 7:30pm

Wallaroo’s one-day Litchfield National Park personalised Jumping Crocodile Cruise Tour on the Adelaide River, finishing with sunset and prawns at Fannie Bay is the best and most extensive all-year-round tour available. Our informative guide explains the unique history, flora, fauna, giant termite mounds and more of the region. Everyone gets to swim at the beautiful waterfalls in Litchfield and enjoy a buffet lunch at Wangi Falls. Finishing with complimentary prawns and bubbly while watching a Darwin Sunset over the Timor Sea.

Your first adventure for the day begins with our jumping crocodile cruise.

$255 per person (includes NT Park fees)

After pick-up from your Darwin accommodation …relax and enjoy the scenery from our comfortable, air-conditioned, small tour bus. Your professional tour driver provides lively and informative stories during the day.

Breakfast or snacks can be purchased at the convenience stops during the first hour of our tour. There are many stops for you to put your bathers on once in the park.

On the Adelaide River we board our boat for your jumping crocodile cruise. Our purpose-built boat gets you right up close to the really big crocodiles – a must-do Territory experience!

Keep that camera at the ready as this is also when the big birds of prey swoop down to steal meat meant for the crocodiles – this is as close as you’re ever likely to get to the beautiful White Breasted Sea Eagle and others.

The Adelaide River abounds with wildlife so keep your eyes peeled on the riverbank as well – there’s a lot to see!

With hearts still beating strongly from the excitement of seeing so many crocodiles and wildlife we then head to Litchfield National Park via Batchelor Township.

Your experienced local tour driver explains the history, culture, flora and fauna of the area and Litchfield National Park. There are some very impressive magnetic and cathedral termite mounds in the park with excellent photo opportunities.

While you enjoy a swim or surrounds at Wangi Falls your tropical lunch is prepared. Lunch includes a selection of cold meats and fresh salads.

Afterwards enjoy more swimming and exploring at the well-marked walking paths at Florence Falls or Buley Rock Hole. There’s plenty of wildlife here too – your eagle-eyed guide won’t let you miss a thing! Make sure you always have your camera handy!

In the late afternoon we make our way back to Darwin to take in a legendary Top End sunset over Fannie Bay.

Recap the day’s events with your new friends while enjoying prawns and complimentary bubbly and the stunning display of our amazing natural heritage.

We return you to your Darwin accommodation at approximately 7.30pm.

Please note: We are able to pick up from Palmerston and beyond on the way out of Darwin to the Adelaide River, however you will be dropped back at your accommodation on the way back into Darwin. Hence you will miss out on the prawns and complimentary bubbles sunset.

Feel free to meet us in Darwin at any of the CBD pick up points in the morning, or come with us into town, then make your own way back to your out-of-town accommodation after the sunset finale. We would love to have you join us for the whole day!
