YOUR FIRST ADVENTURE FOR THE DAY BEGINS WITH A JUMPING CROCODILE CRUISE.
This full-day Wallaroo Litchfield National Park tour includes an Adelaide River Jumping Crocodile Cruise and finishes with sunset and prawns back in Darwin at Fannie Bay. It’s Darwin’s best and most extensive all-year-round tour available. Our informative guide explains the region’s unique history, flora, fauna, giant termite mounds, and more. Everyone gets to swim at the beautiful waterfalls in Litchfield and enjoy a buffet lunch at Wangi Falls. Finishing with complimentary prawns and bubbly while watching Darwin’s sun setting over Fannie Bay and the Timor Sea.
After pick-up from your Darwin accommodation relax and enjoy the scenery from our comfortable, air-conditioned, small tour bus. Your professional tour driver provides lively and informative stories during the day.
During the first hour of our tour, breakfast or snacks are available for purchase at the convenience stops. Once in the park, there are many stops where you can put on your bathers.
We board a jumping crocodile cruise on the Adelaide River, getting you right up close to the big crocodiles. It’s a must-do Territory experience!
Keep that camera at the ready, as this is also when the big birds of prey swoop down to steal meat meant for the crocodiles. It’s as close as you’re ever likely to get to the beautiful White-Breasted Sea Eagle and others.
The Adelaide River abounds with wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled on the riverbank as well – there’s a lot to see!
With hearts still beating strongly from the excitement of seeing so many crocodiles and wildlife, we head to Litchfield National Park via Batchelor Township.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the history, culture, flora, and fauna of Litchfield National Park and the area. The park has some very impressive magnetic and cathedral termite mounds, which offer excellent photo opportunities.
While you swim at Wangi Falls or stroll the boardwalk, your tropical lunch is prepared. It includes a selection of cold meats and fresh salads.
Afterwards, enjoy more swimming and exploring the well-marked walking paths at Florence Falls or Buley Rock Hole. There’s plenty of wildlife here too. Your eagle-eyed guide won’t let you miss a thing! Make sure you always have your camera handy!
In the late afternoon, we make our way back to Darwin to enjoy a legendary Top End sunset over Fannie Bay.
Recap the day’s events with your new friends while enjoying prawns, complimentary bubbly, and a stunning display of our amazing natural heritage.
We return you to your Darwin accommodation at approximately 7.30pm.
Please note: We pick you up from Palmerston and beyond on the way out of Darwin to the Adelaide River. However, you will be dropped back at your accommodation on the way back into Darwin. Hence, you will miss out on the prawns and complimentary bubbles at sunset.
Feel free to meet us in Darwin at any of the CBD pick-up points in the morning or come with us into town. After the sunset finale, you can make your own way back to your out-of-town accommodation. We would love to have you join us for the whole day!
Our itinerary may be subject to change depending on NT Parks advice, weather and road conditions.
